Hi...There are many places to fish in Queens and in and around NYC. I live in Queens, and we have probably the best fishery in all of NY and the Tri-State area...Jamaica Bay. Jamaica Bay has plenty of different spieces to fish for when they are in season....Striped Bass, Blue Fish, Weak Fish, Flounder, Fluke, Porgy, Black Fish, Sea Bass. Granted, these are all saltwater fish, but the fishing is amazing. You will need a saltwater license which can be purchased at Sports Authority or almost any Tackle Shop...Or the NYS DEC website. Theres also acouple of lakes in Queens for freshwater fishing....you'll need a license for that too...
I own a Parker 17 CC which I fish out of Jamaica Bay....and It's the best! Good luck!
