i ve been picking pike and smallmouth out of this body of water that are just amazing. Now my buddy i take has recently caught a small walleye. We didn't even know they were their and this leads into my question.... How should i target them when you can not use a fish finder or a engine on the lake??? any tip would help..

I'm not sure why you can't use a fishfinder. My portable runs on two 6volt lantern batteries. But anyway get out in the deep water and jig. A jig head with a crawler or put a curly tail grub on. Drop it to the bottom lift it then let it sink. Good luck

thanks for the suggestion. the reason for no fish finder is its public drinking water and their are laws about no electronics or engines

I would question the fishfinder. You may not be able to have a 12 volt battery on board. But these portables some take D batteries.
