I've cleaned out the garage and hope to clean the boat today and winterize it and put it in the garage for the winter.

Still got a good 2 or 3 weeks left before I haul the boat out of the water. Black fishing is just starting to heat up. I should be out by Veterans Day. I don't know about that ice fishing Mo, just the thought of sitting out there in below freezing temps is making my bones ache...LOL

I might consider ice fishin but I'm to busy in the winter and don't have the time. Maybe some day. With the forecast of snow for thursday I'm glad the boat is winterized and put away.

Hey guys...who's sittin' in the cold? I'm talkin' about fishin' in a heated shelter...with a beer and a pizza! Ever watch that movie Grumpy Old Men? Who cares if we even catch a fish!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          SmileyCentral.com

Sounds good mo but I'm to busy and don't have the time. Barresi I'm in the northern catskills and we usually have had snow by now on the hill.

Nice....I don't envy you Wellsley...I hate the snow...After this past winter when we got hit with 2ft of snow, and sanatation dept. had a little "wildcat" strike...not plowing the roads until 18 hours after the stroms, basically shutting down the city...If I never ever seen a snow flake again, I'll be a happy camper!!! I have 4 more years to go, then I can retire...Hopefully if I played my cards right, the family and I are going down south...Florida...Fishing all year long! lol

Sounds like a plan Barresi, I also have about 4 years or less but my wife can't retire until 7 years later. We will stay here and go south or west for the winter months. 5" total snow fall and more coming tomorrow.

We ended up with just a dusting of snow in the city last Saturday...The weather is starting to cool, but it's still fishable, providing it's not too windy. As of right now, the boat is still docked and i plan on making atleast 2 or 3 more trips for Blackfish (tautog). The boat is coming out on Nov. 11th...then cabin fever sets in...lol

No snow here yet, but it looks like the fall feeding frenzy is over. Bass fishing has slowed to a crawl...crappie and 'gills are still biting...looks like time for equipment maintenance and wait for ice.  SmileyCentral.com

Still going out...Went out this morning for Bass...Striped Bass that is....Drifted live eels...nothing...not even a little nibble...we had a cold front come in the other day...( I want to tell myself that, that is the reason why we didn't catch anything...lol), tomorrow going back out for Blackfish...then I think that's it...Friday the boat will be hauled out of the water...then after the boat is taken care of, I can start my winter rod and reel maintenance

All good things must come to an end. Next year won't come soon enough. But at least you will probably get the boat out sooner than I. I'm looking at April if I'm lucky and maybe not until May.

Frank if this weather keeps up here in the Southern Adirondacks (yes I am a dreamer) we will be putting our boats back int the water im March. Okay I am hoping.I was thinking to do some ice fishing this winter but we are far from having any safe hard water here, so the heck with it. I am thinking some early spring fishing for those Silvers this year. I am pulling the boat out of the barn the end of the week to take it to Vermont for all new canvas work. I have a couple of nice modifications I want in my new canvas work to cover my downriggers and better access points and areas for improved air flow through the boat.

Some guys were still fishing Champlain this past week. I am sorry I winterized my boat so early. Now you should start thinking Spring... I am!

There hasn't been cold enough weather in Michigan for the ice to freeze up enough to fish on.

Walt winter might just be late and not get here until March and end in May. You know one of the northeast meets had 6 inches of snow.

I am hoping that we can prove you wrong Frank. Come March we want a nice early spring type of season. I am liking this winter so far. If this is global warming.. then so be it and I am all for it. Let's think sun & fun... let's go fishing!

I'm with you Walt. I used to like snow and winter. The older I get the less I like it.
