I fish in cherokee very often. Last time I was there I caught several fish on a black/glitter rooster tail with a gold spinner. I also caught a 4lb brown on white maribu crappie jig

I fish there quite often myself. I have found that the fish there don't see power bait worms very often. I have had great luck with chartreuse and pink shads, and occasionally a bright orange. Bubble gum is good too! A good day there is usually around 40-50 fish. Check out the little tack and bait store on Big Cove rd.  I think the name is "Bobs", not sure. Good luck and happy fishing!

p.s. the store is about a mile up the rd. I
was telling you about on the right going up.
There is also about 11 miles of creek up through there
    that are great!
