I am a life member from Creedmoor NC  and fish Falls lake but mainly a little lake near my house . I 've caught Bass ,Crappie, Catfish, White Perch, Shad, Bluegills and a weird toothy fish called a Bowfin. I don't have a boat ,so all were caught from the shore or pier. I tried my first circle hooks and was amazed how well they worked and will only buy those from now on.

I was surprised to find this many NC members here. I guide on the Yadkin lakes. Badin Lake, Falls Dam and Lake Tillery. I mostly fish for stripers and gaint cats. I can tell you the Yadkin lakes holds alot of big cats. The two biggest bluecats I've caught so far have been at 75lbs. Alot of big flats too. Last year I caught my biggest at 62lbs. I thought the striper run up river this year was going to be really good. But it fizzed out real quick. I guess because of low water temp this spring. Latly I've been hunting for flatheads. Been having alot fun using floatrigs with live bait. It's a blast watching those big floats go under. Hopefully I can hear some good reports from you guys in the future.

I am moving to Gastonia in March.  I currently live in Colorado and frequent Canada each year for fishing trips.  I am stocked up on fire tiger, sexy or foxy shad, and blue back colors.  My question is what colors do you think I should use in North Carolina.  I will be fishing mainly bass.  Thanks

I'm from Eden, NC. I had been fishing around since 1965, but not in NC. I'm used to live in South Jersey and Watertown NY area. I love fishing for Small Mouth, LM Bass, All Pike family. Now I'm restoring Semi V Grumman 1971 boat to make a bass boat. I used to kayak, canoe but due to medical reasons I had to stop paddling. I also belong to a group forum called NCAnglers.com. Found lot of friends also fishing info. Just like this Club NAFC which I really enjoy everything on this site. My name is Dennis, maybe I'll see you on the water somewhere in NC.
Be safe on the water, so you can do it another day! Dennis

Hi, new member from Wake County. I tend to fish for bass, catfish, and panfish, in that order. Would love to have a fishing buddy along so my wife doesn't worry about me out in the big bad woods all by myself. This in spite of the fact that I've been fishing at every opportunity for about thirty years now, lol.

So far I've been to Jordan Lake, Simpkins Pond(LOTS of blue catfish in there), Falls Lake, the Neuse river, and a small pond or two as well as the Little River. Went to Kerr Lake as a kid.

Anyhow, new or not, long as you love fishing and all, would love to talk to you!
