My buddy and I are headed to DL this weekend and staying at Woodland Resort.  We've made the trip from Wisconsin every year for the past 5 years.  Last year a cold front came through and shut down the fishing, but it looks like decent weather this coming weekend.  Is anyone doing any good lately?  Thanks.

All right, I'm back and finally got a few minutes to sit down at the computer.  Where to start...  We drove through freezing rain in western WI and parts of Minnesota.  We got to Woodland Resort by 7:30 on Friday morning and they got us out fishing within 30 minutes of arrival.  I picked up one walleye right off the bat, but it was about the size of a cigar.  We thought that it was going to be a great trip catching that one right away, but a storm front came through and forced us off the lake early.  No more fish on Friday, but did have a few break us off.  Saturday stunk - we went 1 for 2 on tip-ups and had one minnow on a walleye jig stolen at dusk.  Sunday I caught two small walleyes, a decent perch and had huge northern break me off right at the hole.  On Monday a blizzard came through and the only thing I could muster was a small walleye.  The blizzard forced us to leave for home a couple of hours earlier than we hoped for, but at least we got home safely.  Here's a picture of what we drove through...  It was like this from Devils Lake all the way through North Dakota and part-way into Minnesota.  Man you guys that live there have to be hardy!!!
