BD, Aarhunt, GP Jack and I went out yesterday and spent most of our day checking out lakes to suit our needs for an upcomming many meet. We visited three lakes and didn't wet a hook. We checked the looks of the lake, accessibility, and camping facilities. We weighed the pros and cons of each lake and then voted.

These are the three most centrally located. The reality is non of them had 100% of the things we needed. Alum Creek didn't fit our needs at all. Water access was very limited and would be difficult. Delaware Lake Fit the bill in most categories. Mt. Gilead Lake is a small lake but the water access is great with accessibility to about 2/3 of the lake.

This we felt was the most important thing to consider for this meet. Since boat access was important the first round. I will be contacting the office at Mt. Gilead about availability in
August. This is a primitive site with electric motors only, but great access from the shore.

We are checking into Delaware Lake for our big meet in the Spring. I think you will all like this lake that offers up a bit of eveything.

Check this site for the dates and updates on the meet in August. We are also starting to plan next years meet.
