On a recent fishing trip for steel head I seen an older gentlemen casting a shad rap.I watched a little longer and realized he threw it right after he seen a swirl and he was landing fish.So i went to the box put one on and had great luck with it also. The biggest being over 10 1/2 pounds.We were at the mouth of the river so the water was anywhere from 7 to 14 feet. Hope it works for you as well as it did for me. Casey Mcelroy
