We will be back at it Monday Mar 15 at noon, weather permitting. At this time there are approx. 45 "C" trees still needing lopped and married up and stacked onto the beach. The more warm bodies that show up, the faster they will be completed, awaiting a oneway pontoon boat ride Mar 26 and 27th. Hopefully the rain this weekend will see iceout occur sooner rather than later. If we can stay on shedule they will be in place for both yellow perch and white crappies to spawn on this year, long term boosting the numbers of both these species of potentail golden deep fried  morsels! (Pardon my drooling) We will make the GPS positions known to the general public by July 1st, sooner to those in on it. Respectfully, The Friends of CJ Brown Reservoir

33 still to do. Ice still covers southern 3rd of lake due to NE wind. Lake is up approx. 12-14", Corps of Engineers has outlet at half ? open, a raging torrent. Am praying water doesn`t come up too much more. The beach below Crabill House will have to be cleared before April 1rst. Developing an appreciation of a certain British gentleman during WW2 just before Operation Dynamo. Hopefully the darkest days will see our finest hours.

Forgive me, still at it. All trees are cut, 22 are still above the beach, 40 still need a cable wrapped round each trunk and hence thru each block and then clamped tight, pulling each end with Vicegrips. Weather permitting, will have the upper gate to Crabill House open each day noon to 3 PM?  untill April 1rst or untill the last one of the 140+ of them bumps the bottom. Did speak to VP of Western Ohio Walleye Association today, he said group was interested. 2 weeks will tell the tail, pardon the pun. And in 2 months the results should be obvious....as always, respectfully The Friends of CJ Brown Reservoir

39 more left to place, will have 25 extra "C" trees to take up to the old N boat ramp to await the cement blocks, joining the 130+ already there; we simply ran out of blocks and authorized targets on the W shore of CJ. By 4PM we will remove every visible trace we were ever at the Crabill House, unless of course your`e using sonar. And some will be harder than others to see without sidescan. Darn. Spring just can`t get here soon enough! Would imagine May will tell the tails....
