Back on the 17th took my nephew for some crappie fishing in the moonlight. Another disbeliever bites the dust. Fish were suspended between 5 to 7 feet. Ran out of minnows. Soon as the sun came up they shutdown. Plus we brought home 40 lbs. of White Bass. Of course it was nowhere around here(Akron). Can't eat the fish from these lakes. They can kill you.

Were you fishing a deep resavoir for those fish skeeter? Are you and Hershel going to make it to the panfish tournament this Ocrober.

FFFisch,yes sireee. We were fishing a deep res.,. Anchored in about 25 feet of water. Between a major snag and a shelf. The snag is the top of an elm tree. the stump is at the bottom in about 45 feet. My nephew wanted to catfish and all was going well until the moonlight got up on the water. Then I knew the catfish would move to deeper water to hunt suspended bait fish. So I moved to deeper water as well. Also caugfht several catfish, over 5lb.,using the same method.
