We have set the date for the fall panfish tournament. It will be on Sunday October 9th at Alum Creek. Hoping a few more club members will join us there.

Come on Ohio fisherman. Surely we have a few fisherman still out there don't we.

Hey FFFisch, what time does the tourny start and where(on the lake). Also, do I have to have a boat?

mo65 are you a member of the ohio chapter? I have more info posted on that site. We are launching at the Cheshire boat ramp at 8 am and fishing until 2 pm when we will have the weigh in , clean the fish and have a fish fry. This is just a small tournament but would like to see a few more teams in it than what we have had in the past. It is $10 per person or $20 a team. last spring we had one guy who's partner bailed at the last minute and he fished as his own team. We are pretty flexible. It is more about us friends getting together for a day of fishing. The few bucks we throw in just make it more interesting. We fish for crappie and bluegills. You can use live or artificial bait. YOu can bank fish or fish from a boat. There is a 20 fish limit that you can weigh in. The crappie have to be 9 inches and last year when we fished Alum we had a 6 inch limit on the bluegills, in the fall we fished Indian lake and changed that to 7 inches and did the same at CJ Brown this spring. So right now the gill size limit is still up in thr air. I we post it after we make a decision. There may be a couple guys bringing boats that do not have a partner yet if you do not mind fishing with a person you do not know. They have not comitted entirely yet but I should know soon I think. No you don't mo65. My partner is not a member and we have other non members that have fished in it. The tournament we did at Indian last fall was about 50 / 50. But it was people that we knew that we invited to fish in it. For some reason we have trouble getting people from the ohio chapter to fish in it. They would rather go camping and cooking. There are some that are big into fishing and they fish the tournaments.Let me know if you need a partner and I will see if we can hook you up with someone.

Has anybody heard about a lake drawdown at Alum Creek?

Not that anyone will read this anyway. But we are looking at moving the tournament to another lake. This is due to the state lowing Alum Creek 11 ft to work on some ramps. So stay tuned.

Yea I think I might try alittle of that after work today. Just another 177 days and i won't have to wait until after work to go. with every day off I can go as I please.

We are bring a generator to the tournament just to make sure we have electric for the fish fry.

Sorry I didn't get on here Saturday. I had internet problems on my computer at home and couldn't get a connection. Still don't know if it is working. On work computer now. I am sure I posted the change to Buckeye on here a few weeks back. I didn't change the thread title, just thought my post would be enough. Sorry for the confusion.

We plan on doing the spring tournament at Delaware lake. If we can get enough people interested we might do an ice fishing tournament.

Some of the guys are also talking about doing a catfish tournament and or a bass tournament next summer. Any takers on that here?

Yes, I did FFFisch. Amy got it squared away for me. Now I can keep better tabs on the tourneys and activities. I had to leave town during the Buckeye lake tourney...to bad...that was close to home. Glad to hear about possible other tourneys, I'll keep my eyes peeled. By the way, how did things go at Buckeye lake?
                                                             

The fishing was tuff going on Buckeye that day. But we did have enough for the fish fry afterwards.
