Has anyone seen the news broadcast where the Pacific salmon have gone from 1 million and some change to 35 thousand? The thought of closing the ocean salmon season is depressing and it’s already been mentioned. Seems like rock fish halibut and everything else that swims in the ocean has been really restricted. Unless you are a foreign fishing boat then you can just take a net and wipe out anything off of our shore with a small fine that is probably treated like an operating cost to those people. Sorry to grumble but that really gets me steamed, especially when a trip to the coast with my ocean boat is $1000 just for the fuel.

Heard that the Sacramento river run had diminished severely.  No news on other systems.  It truly is a shame what some of the commercial interests have done to the fish stocks world wide.
