Well first off, our guide cancelled on Monday the 23rd, and my trip was scheduled for Friday the 27th. Needless to say I could not get out of my cabin rental that late, and with $250 already invested I was screwed. He could only offer me a future trip, since no other guides were available. So I went up there unfortunately with a bad taste in my mouth, and no knowledge on how to get stripers on my own. But we did manage to get some lake trout, smallies, crappie, and walleye. Nothing huge, but the one smallie was about 4 pounds. The lake trout were 3-5 pounds. We salvaged what we could to make the 7 hour drive worth it, but I would stay away from Tim Grace's service.
