Hello fellow catfishers, I'm stuck in the 15-25 lb range when it comes to catfish, I always practice catch and release and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place for catching cattys bigger than 25lbs in the Northeast. I live close to Pottsville, and I catch my biggest catfish closer to Danville in the Susquehanna River.

ok, bigger catfish, sounds like that is right up my ally, the trick with the susqie is live baits, flatheads are there to stay, and they are striving unlike the unfortunate smallmouth bass population, but, look for baits in the 6" - 10" range, shiners do great if ya can find them big enough, and go below the shamokin dam, halifax is good, duncannon is good, harrisburg has a dam or 2, look for sluggish waters, and u will find big cats, big appetites, and tons of fun, fish smart, only take what u can eat, don't waste fish, later

for fun at stoyers dam, balls of nightcrawlers, find them to work very well for the area, berks county livers do the best, i'm from port carbon, try maiden creek, tons and tons of bullheads, but please release the channel cats, populations are declining very quickly in the creek
