When I came back from the dinner it was snowing some and these guys were almost on the lower deck.........................

Then they went into the woods just off the driveway...................but came back later when it was snowing harder so I got the good camera out........

Got to the pond I was gonna hunt this morning well before light to set up only to find another hunter allready there. He must of got up real early! So I took a walk on a local stream to see if I could jump some but came across nothing. Oh well, have a great day all! Not sure whay I'm gonna do tomorrow with this forcast? We were planning on fishing, still might, but we might end up duck hunting instead? Or maybe just sit at home and relax!

Good morning everyone. Hope ya get him next week Howard!  Pete, sorry to hear the leg is still doing bad. I ended up with one pheasant today before I got too tired and called it quits. Boy I need a dog!!! Kinda tough hunting pheasant by yourself! Not many boats out on the lake today with the high winds. The water is still up but looks like their in the process of lowering it? Well, it be nappy time!

Good morning PA, have a great day. I didn't know there is no Sunday hunting in PA. It used to be that way in the western part of NY, from Binghamton west. But I believe that has change but I'm not positive. I know where I live Sunday hunting is allowed.

Morning Pete and all others. Pete, sorry to hear the therapy isn't doing the trick. It really makes me feel bad if you hurt it while we were loading wood. Frank, yep, we're old school down here. There has been talk recently about Sunday hunting but who knows how that will go? Well, I'm in a hole again money wise, I hit a buck on the way to work last night at 55 mph. It's driveable but took out the grill, right headlight and turn signal system, it's head and rack must have come around and smashed in the right passenger door, messed up the a/c lines and hood is bent up. Not sure what else at this point? Pretty sure my insurance won't cover as I have the bare minimum. Looks like I'll be without wheels for a little while.

I had my visit today with my bone doctor.  He said I did NOT have a torn ACL but my miniscus (sp) is worn to the bone on one side and I have a floating body in there and a "Bakers Cyst".  Dec. 17 I will have orthoscopic surgery to explore and remove all the "junk" inside my knee.  He will also drain the cyst...Then it will be just a matter of time (how much pain I can live with) before I get this knee (the good one) replaced.  At this point I am not sure what fishing activities I will be able to participate in , in 2010.  Wish me luck!

It ain't much of a story Howard, but here goes. Last Saturday was the opening day here in the southern zone. I went to my favorite stand of which I have shot 15 bucks from. I saw a 4pter at 0720 pushing 4 does through. To early to fill my tag with a little one. I ended up seeing 19 deer that day. I was on stand from 0600 until sundown. Sunday the wind was out of the north which is not good in that stand. So I went to another on a ridge line below a hay field. It was a very slow day the woods were very quiet. At 1600 a spike came through about 30 yards. All I saw that day was 9 deer. Monday morning found me back at stand number one with the wind out of the east. With in 50 yards of my stand I noticed  11 buck rubs. Still as time went by I saw nothing. Not even a squirel! Then at 1030 here comes this buck just struting along by himself. I new right away he was a keeper. When he got broadside I took him. One shot right behind the shoulder. I took it out to DEC and they aged him at 2 1/2 years old. 8pts 17" spread 135lbs.
