I've already been gettin ready,My wifes takin off the weekend of the 17th so I don't miss the first 2 days.I haven't missed an opening day since I was 10 and thats cause I woke up with the Flu!!!I tried fishin but it just didn't happen. That was an important year too! A saved all year to buy my own tacklebox and new rod/reel and didn't even get to catch a trout on it until the following weekend.Wow that was 18yrs ago.How time flies

I got a special regulation late harvest year-round trout stream about 5 miles away and I believe that the state is stocking it this coming Monday. It's Catch and Release until june but the ice is gone along the banks and I know I'll be fishing it soon.Just hope I got the leak in my waders patched,Back in October I fished it,I was up to my chest in 40* water when I noticed that my backside was gettin wet.I caught a few nice brookies but when I got back to the Van I took my waders off and I was soaked from my waist down.Didn't bother me a bit though since I was catchin fish
