I am going on vacation in a couple days and was wondering if anyone has ever fished the Loyalsock creek in Sullivan county and what species other than trout are in the creek? Thanks for any input guys.

I live near the mouth of the 'sock and can tell you what there is down here. Smallies, Rockies, Channels, and Eyes are caught. up to the Rt 973 bridge. Not sure but Smallies and Rockies may be further up.

Thanks bk. I had a blast up there on vacation. I found out I was on the Little 'sock, which ran past our B&B. Nice browns in there.

I have land on the Loyalsock Creek and it's just below the Sullivan County line in Lycoming County. It is above the Rt. 973 bridge as mentioned in the other post. What a great stretch of water all the way up for trout and especially smallies!!! I fish in broad daylight with a black & silver #7 floating Rapala twitching on top when out for bass, my favorite fish by the way. As a matter of fact the trout will even hit it like that during early mornings and late evenings. That Rapala color and size is the only thing I fish with. Makes it easy to pack my gear!!!

I haven't fished the Sock in along time,A friend of ours used to own a cabin across from the Pheasant farm before a flood washed it down stream thats where i used to catch alot of nice trout.
