i go to high limits when it comes to my tackle. lure gets stuck on a branch and its not coming down. WHAT DO YOU DO?
and now me im not leaving till i get my lure back cuz they are to damn pricey to just leave hanging on a branch in a tree. i do what i can to get it down i dont care about whose standing there trying to fish. i spent hard earned money on my tackle and im not leaving till its back in the box |

I feel your pain man. I lose at least 2 lures EVERY time I fish. I get really PO'd to the point that I want to jump in grab 'em. Not to mention I use braided lines, and I have to keep cutting it. That's a lot of money man! If I see where the lure floats to, I try my best to cast a floating lure right behind it hoping to snag it somehow. it worked once, but that's because it had some line attached.

I always carry a lure retriever in my boat at all times and i have saved some very expensive lures, but from shore it be a different story. I have gone in the water a few times to try and retrieve a few lures. |

Lost 3 more lures today. A top water popper, a plastic shad swimmer, and my favorite crank (a KVD #6 long caster/deep diver) It's time for a pair of waders. There's gotta be a way to retreive them when they're snagged close enuff to the shore. |

I go camping upstate NY twice a year with my family and fish this lake from shore. This is the only time I fish for bass. I fish saltwater all the time. So when I go, I load my tackle box full of everything I can throw at them. And it's not cheap. I usually loose a few jigs, crank baits, spinner baits, hooks, etc, etc. I need to invest in some waders to get my stuff back that lake welch wants to keep for herself. If I had scuba gear, I bet I can retrieve a bunch of tackle and open up a tackle shop! LOL |

I looked for a lure retriever@ Dick's Sporting Goods...nothing. The aasociate there (a pt time tour angler) says she uses a 1 or 2 oz sinker w/ a paperclip thru one end, hooks the other end on her line and let it drop to the lure. The weight more often than not will dislodge the lure on the first drop...if not, then jiggle your rod a few times, and viola. Worked for me this past wknd. |

I had one of those Cabela's lure retrievers. Got a Rattlebait hung on a stump so I lowered down the lure retriever...now there's a lure retriever AND a thousand assorted lures hung on that stump! |
