Hello Fellow NAFC Members

 

I was wondering if anyone could provide me with some info. I have found myself with a few days off during the week next week (May 7-9) and wanted to do some surf fishing. Could anyone recommend a good beach to catch some fish? Species is less important than just having something tug the end of my line after a long winter.  Any info would be greatly appreciated. I hope you found something for the 7th -to the 9th. Because you missed a great meet at the rock, everyone had a great time and there were no problems. Hope to see you there next year.

Fishing the surf is always an adventure. There's nothing magical about catching fish during this special time. You simply have to be there within the prescribed time frame. Your fishing instincts will take care of the rest. go to the search feature and type in block island. Plenty of info there. I think you will be pleased with fishing BI. It's not very difficult and access is reasonable...although in some locations the walking my be tough, but not impossible.

Has there been any good ice fishing lately. My lucks been so-so

if you want a good place to fish surf go to the end of ocean drive where the big rock goes out into the water. if you dont know where ocean drive is its in newport. or you could go to portsmouth abbey in portsmouth or even vansant pier in newport or fort adams at the boat docks, they are all great for fishing you just have to be there when the schools are coming in at beggining of hightide
