Just thought I would pop in a say Hi. New member to NAFC, I fished the Cooper River years ago with my Dad and then got out of fishing thought my teens and twenties. Now that I have two kids of my own my interest in outdoor activities picked back up. Fishing on the river was alwas a fond memory for me and I wanted my kids to share this as well. I have to say Pop was a lot better at finding them than I am, but I suppose that will come with time. I did get Dad to come out with me again late last year, first time he fished in years as well. Oddly enough he still knew where to find at least a couple.
Been thinking of taking on the lakes now but still not that comfortable with my boat handling skills. Dad never liked the lakes much so I will have to start their with no reference point to running on a lake or where to even begin to find fish. Picked up a older Cajun F/S last year and now getting very comfortable driving it on the river & in boat trafic. I hope to expore other lakes/river throughout the southeast as the kids get bit older and I get more comfortable on the water.
