We plan on moving to TN within the next 3 years or sooner.  We have been looking at the Knoxville, Oak Ridge area. Pros and cons?  Who all from NAFC lives in TN?  Thanks all.

I live in Middle TN, and my in-law just moved to Fairfeild Glade.  Personally Crossville area is as close to East TN I want to live.

What information are you looking for?

Rev, Thought you were already here. Oh well, I'm already in Knoxville. A lot of folks are moving outside of and around Knoxville , Areas like Clinton-Norris= Norris Lake & Clinch river, East Knoxville ( between I-640 and the County line North of I-40= Cherokee Lake Soyth of I -4- = Douglas Lake) Southwest of Knoxville= Maryville Friendsville = Tellico Lake, Fort LoudonLake & TN River. Further south into NC = Fontana Lake. Further west is Lenoir City & Loudon = Watts Bar Lake Fort Loudon & Tellico Lake. I like living fairly urban so I live off I-40 Near Lovell Road - Turkey Creek Area . I am originally from Long Island, Suburbia, Housing prices are dropping some. Most of the areas listed above range from 20 -40 minutes drive time from downtown Knoxville. Oak Ridge is pretty nice , You have the National Lab there and very good schools. Earlier You Mentioned Hospitals and Doctors we have plenty. The weather is moderate, I fished around Christmas. Then it did get cold. NO CURRENT STATE INCOME TAX although there is a tax on investment income The only down side of living in the Knoxville area is that bunch over at the University of Tennessee. All that Orange on weekends in the fall. Those folks thinks they have a football team. Oh well as an Alabama Alumni and one time member of a Real Football team, Roll Tide , I suffer Through. South Eastern Conference FootBall you have to love it.
