    Hey all,

I've gotten a transfer and I will be moving to the Knoxville area sometime in April or May.  Not sure where yet, but somewhere in the general vicinity.  I'm going to be in desperate for some fishing buddies down there.  I'm going to be completely new to the area so any pier or bank locations you can provide would be greatly appreciated.  Hope to hear from you soon.

I've just moved to the Gatlinburg area myself and am looking for new fishing buddies too.  Maybe we can get together sometime in the area and wet a line or two!

Carl Cowen park in Farragut, it is on Fort Loudon, so I would not suggest eating what you catch! We have plenty of wadable waters, especially on the Clinch River. I am most familiar with it. In the Solway area, between West Knox and Oak Ridge, the Clinch River turns into Melton Lake before reach the other dam. There are quiet a few free boat launches as well as two piers, that I can currently think of. One in Solway, the other in Clinton.

I, as well as some of my fishing buddies, would be happy to take a new comer out. I ain't hard core, because my wife won't let me spend the money, but I love to go and I enjoy being out on the water.

If you are interested when you get here, message me.

If you like trout try the Clinch river just below the Norris Lake Dam. Down on Fort Loudon  = Tennessee River there are places all over to bank fish. Downtown Knoville = Gov. Ned McHerter Riverside Landing ( shade under the bridge). The River Walk in downtown (Neyland Drive) no much shade, Concord Park and Anchor Park in Farragut -Fishing Piers- Handicap Accessible. Fort  Loudon Dam area Lenoir City , The Berm above the Dam - Handicap Accessible - by the Tellico Plains turn off.  Below the Fort Loudon Dam and Lock bank fishing on both sides. TWRA publishes a guide to bank fishing sites around Tennesssee. Some of the fish can be eaten Crappie, Trout etc. Just avoid the Catfish (PCBs). Come on down and enjoy.

Well, I've made it down and found some of the spots around Loudon.  Caught a few so far.  If anyone wants to hook up around the three piers on Loudon and teach me a thing or two, let me know.

Are you Talking about the 3 Piers at Concord Park in Farragut (down by the end of Concord road by the traffic Circle) or have they built some new Piers down in Lenoir City ? If Farragut Concord Park, Just move Pier to Pier, we are a happy Crew an welcome all new comers. Just remember to keep a eye on your line the more than occasional CatFish love to grab your line and run. I just finished reconditioning a rod and reel I caught about 2 weeks ago.

I sure am.  I'll be there a good bit over the next few weeks I imagine.  I drive a red Colorado with PA tags and Titans gear all over it.  I'll likely be wearing a titans hat so please swing by and introduce yourself.

Last Saturday afternoon, Did you stop by the last pier nearest the Bridges right before the rain hit ? I saw you get into a red truck with a Titan Logo on the tailgate as you left. I believe you said you had been out most of the Morning. If Not I' ll Keep looking for you.

I find it's decent late afternoon into evening, then it gets too dark for my old eyes. Check out the Knox News Sentinal sports section friday , Chris Henderson at One Limit Bait Shop -156 West End Aveune and the TN Valley Outdoors newspaper for info. The local Gander Mountain guys are there because K-Mart had no openings. I be looking for you.

In Lenoir City they have 2 docks. i go there sometimes when i don't take my boat out. I'm in  a wheelchair but still fish from a pier or dock at times. Fishing is good at the park in early morning or later at night. i can  use a walker or cane at times. Welcome to tennessee and good luck with the fishing
