Took the boy and the dog up to AF canyon at an above Tibble today. I figured we'd hike up the creek above the reservoir and see if I could get any takers. Even with last week's storms there's a lot less snow up there now and it looks like they could open the road above the reservoir in another week or two.
Today it seems that the reservoir was actually the place to be fishing as there were dozens of rises along the shore. Not sure what the fish were on to there and I really didn't stick around long to find out because of the sudden onset of rock tossing kids. Though we had the creek to ourselves it seemed like the bite was off. Maybe next time I'll brave the rock throwers and stick it out to see what they're taking.

I have had some pretty good luck up above tibble tossing small spinners such as a raindbow pattern roostertail or #1 blue fox vibrax for browns. As far as Tibble goes try the same or even a small rapala in rainbow pattern . As far as fly's go maybe a streamer such as a bugger if they are not rising. I am curios as to what was hatching when you were up there. Great to hear that you made it out in between snow storms.
