Where is every one this forum has been quiet, has any one been out yet this year, and where if so, going out next week end me and the wife are ready for the warm weather so we can get out fishing in......

Hey Buddy. hope you had a chance to get out with all this nice weather. I took my 5yr old to one of the Urban fisheries in south jordan (midas pond) sunday before last and he did pretty good with power bait behind a bullet sinker. landed one bow in the first 10 minutes and had another break off at the shore a few minutes later with a third coming unbuttoned as I was grabbing it.

Nope havnt been out this year yet, we are going to head out to utah lake on sunday, will post how we did, havnt been on here for awhile been alot going on, but i will post pics and how we did for each trip, now its warming up as you said, going to start getting out more.

Sorry I don't hang out here much. I have told myself that no fishing gear can come out until I get the basement done. Or else it won't get done. I have one room left. All I gotta do is finish fixing the hole in the ceiling, put in the bar, hang some shelves, and then do the flooring.

albinotrout, what kind of floors are you putting in, i do hardwood floors for a living, have been since 1985, if you are doing hardwood or laminate i can help ya out, let me know, then we can get together and get some fishing in.

I put in laminate in the hallway and the trainroom.  Family room will have carpet.  I have the carpet, just need to get the pad and someone that knows how to install carpet.

well wish i could help ya out, i dont do carpet sorry, i dont know any one who does, im strictly hardwood or laminate floors, sorry wish i could have helped ya! well good luck and when you get your project done its time to head to the lake, ive got spring fever bad, lol.

No problem. I am a ways away from carpeting anyway.  Gotta get the hole fixed and the bar built first.

All is well and yes I have been working on this never ending project since 2004 off and on.  Right now it is almost finished. All that is left of the downstairs is as follows: build the bar, stain the bar, lay laminate flooring behind the bar, hang shelves behind bar and on wall for DVD's, purchase and hang 55" TV  on wall, buy pad and lay carpet and it is done!  Starting to paint rest of house now as well.  That is making mamatrout happy!!!

So! Hows the fishing in Utah, these days, no post lately!

I wouldn't know I haven't been out since last fall.    Although I could give you current info on baseball.   Looks like I won't be getting out too soon either.  Right now trying to take any extra cash and put it to our family vacation in June.  I figure fishing can wait until I get really desperate.

hope ya all have been doin well. I am going to try and get out in the next couple of days for some stream fishing, probably up american fork if its not too blown out. Just started into fly tying and hope to use a few soon.
