Has anyone here fished Lake Memphremagog?  We are going up in June to target smallies and walleye.  Any tips, suggestions, stories, pics would be appreciated and welcomed.

    Thanks,

Oh yes I have fished the lake in June and July and I love it. The smallies will be on the rocks and gravel beds for sure. You can fish them all different ways and if you have young children with you, let them fish them with live worms and a bobber. The kids will have a real fun time. I am sorry to say that I have never had success with the Walleye June or July and have even talked to the locals there for tips on catching eyes and they all say come back in early spring or winter.

    .

Good luck and enjoy the lake. Just watch for the storms that come very quickly down the lake out of the north from Canada; the lake can get very rough super fast. Don't forget you now need a passport to cross the lake into Canada.

Thank you! We had a great time in VT never fished into Canada (didn't need to) the smallmouth action was great by the islands and rock piles. We fished south of Newport in the "river" and we were casting plastics on the lilies and the pickerel were hammering them. Great time and yes we were in Newport and saw (and heard) a sheet of rain run North to South by Holbrook cove, amazing sight and i am glad that we missed it!! Tight Lines
