I have to travel to Washington for work related business. 28-31 Jan, anyone have advice on bringing a rod and fishing opps for me? I am going to Fort lewis, not sure of my work itinerary yet? My priorities tell me to think about fishing opps before I do anything else. email alaskasalomnjedi@hotmail.com or just respond here, thanks in advance. Fish ON TSS "The Salmon Slayer" |

TSS, Like Yellowbear mentoned, check that site out. You more than likely be fishing in Puerce county(maybe Lewis if you travel a little). There is American Lake, The Nisqually River(salmon open to the 31) http://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/index.html Jeremy a.k.a. Cletus U.S. Navy-Go Navy, Beat Army!!! NAFC LM, NAHC LM, NRA LM |

I wish I could join you, but the Navy has me heading out this week and returning after you will head home. I'll look to see if there are any other lakes or rivers that are in the area. Rain.. Yeah, i went stellie fishing yesterday, the waster was so high, strong current and stained, the was no way but still tried. Spin-n-glos, jigs&float and worms. No hits Jeremy a.k.a. Check this one out. It say the lake is on Ft. Lewis. Chambers Lake, call (253)967-5415. I am not too sure what restrictions they have but it is in the regs. Jeremy a.k.a. Cletus U.S. Navy-Go Navy, Beat Army!!! NAFC LM, NAHC LM, NRA LM |

TSS, What's your name again? I know I have spoke to you from the old site and your Slayer site from the past. Anyway, I was searching the web and came across this site. I am not too sure how far this river is but from what I have read, the water was high but the steelies were there... Also check out Spanaway Lake and Steillacoom Lake. http://www.gamefishin.com/rpts/Repo...nty=Pierce Jeremy a.k.a. Cletus U.S. Navy-Go Navy, Beat Army!!! NAFC LM, NAHC LM, NRA LM |

Salmon Slayer nice to meet ya. Fort lewis area, American lake, Gravelly lake, and not too far off is Ohap lake. All good for quality Trout and land locked salmon (Coho) My boss fishes there and comes back all the time limeted out. American lake he says is the best. Slow troll @40ft with with an artificial (super duper) gold especially next month March. Good luck bro!! |

Hey chilifish, Thanks for the reply, I done left and came back already. I live in North Pole, AK so I wont be back your way for awhile. The week I was down there at the end of Jan the weather was nasty. You guys had avalanches and the rain/mush/snow did not allow me to go fishing. I did visit your new Cabelas in Lacy. Sweet! Thanks for the post response anyways. TSS "The Salmon Slayer" |
