I can't help you with the fishing over on the west side but you might want to check out washingtonlakes.com, lots of westsiders there.

I live in Anacortes, What type of fishing are you looking for? I can direct you to lakes for about anything on West side or East. Do you have a boat?

I am in Everett. I was stationed at Whidbey Island for 3 years. I am hoping to get back in 20 months. Crawdad, maybe we can finally hook up for some fishing.

Samish Lake is open year round and has good perch fishing right now although they are deep, about 80 feet. I've heard of several people getting a few cuthroat on top, but the weather needs to warm a bit before the bite will turn on. If you want some good advice a good place to check is Daves sporting goods in Lynden.

Good luck and welcome to the Westside!

Lake Terrill up by Ferndale is a good pond for Bass or go out the Guide Meridian to the lake tha'ts on both side of the road. Tennant Lake is good too but weeds up early. Good Luck. Terry

basbandit49 Lake Whatcom is one of the beat smallmout lakes on the west side. That's if you like bass fishing. I live in Oak Harbor and fish it all the time. The lake closes on Oct 31 reopens in Apr. April, May, and June are the best. I have cought them in the 3 to 5 lb range. It you have a boat, try dragging a 4 inch greenpumpkin lizzard across the lake from the north end lounch 5 to 16 foot deep. Terrel is good for largemouth and well as Smasish. If you would like to give Whatcom a try next spring maybe we can set a trip up. I can be reached at basbandit49@comcast.net I fish the Northwest Bass Pro Circut and practice on that lake to hone my skills. Harry a.k.a. basbandit USN Retired Life Member
