    hey, anybody here that know of Rocky Ford? its a trout river over by Ephrata.

    does anybody here hit that spot regularly?

    havent been on it in awhile but it does produce some nice trout in the winter. it is fly fish and catch and release only.

    just outside of ephrata on hwy. 17 is one nice access point with good parking.

    It's a great fishery in the winter! Smallest fly in your box is the key, mabye something with a little sparkle in it.! Caught some monster trout there but they are very, very smart fish! Best day there was 8 fish.

    It is outside Ephrata  I do not know where Birdgeport is.

    I fished it once a few years back.  I used one of my small Steelhead flies and pounded a couple very large fish in about an hour.  I gave a guy one of the flies as he was drinking a beer on a footbridge waiting for his buddy.  He had no sooner put it in the water when he too hooked a huge fish.  When it broke him off, he begged for another.  I clipped it from my line, gave it to him and headed home.  Word that day was Chromonids were the ticket, I begged to differ.

    It is around an hour south of Rufus depending on how you drive.
