I went to the first of my meetings of the Puget Sound Fly Fishers last Thursday Feb. 12. I went by myself, hoping to meet a friend, an NAFC Life Member, there. He did arrive. I was surprised.
While there I saw another NAFC Life Member with the patch on the back of his vest. I didn't get to meet him, and it will be a month before I can. I am not a Life Member, not yet anyway. I just joined last year, the first year of the 3 years I paid for when I joined. I believe I will join the Puget Sound Fly Fishers club next month at the next meeting on March 12. It would be nice if that NAFC Life Member has a computer and would see this and give me a way to chat with him, then I would know 1 member of the Puget Sound Fly Fishers when I get to the next meeting. I know I have to go through an approval process to be accepted into the Puget Sound Fly Fishers. I am not asking for any preferential treatment, just a chance to get to know someone that IS a member of this club and a member of the Puget Sound Fly Fishers, perhaps someone I could go fly fishing with sometime in the future. My NAFC Life Member friend isn't able or willing to go fly fishing with me. Hopefully this will change. I just want to go fly fishing with someone that likes to go fly fishing.
