I am coming out there for a couple days of ling cod and halibut fishing. Anyone know if I should bring some lighter gear for something else?

I have to agree with 206. The lakes were stock in the areas with planter trout, however- The Triploids are to be planted soon in the weeks to come. Water temps are up in many lakes and the large and small mouths should be getting a little more active. Salmon and steelhead are closed in most rivers with some still having C&R implemented. If you would like I can get the link for the regs and post it for you?

I'll be out there the middle of May, going out on a charter boat for halibut and ling cod and sea bass one day, then ling cod and bass the next day. But you never get enough fishing so what the heck I am going to take my float tube and fly rod along. thanks guys

Where is your charter out of? Where will you be staying? Last but not least, How long(how many days) will you be out here? This info will help point out a few lakes to hit in the area or a short distance. I also my be able to take you out somewhere to wet a line.

We are chartering out of La Push and will be going out for 2 days and then we are heading home via Yelm for a day and then down Ellensburg way to Utah.

We will be in Wa. for a total of 5 days.
