Only a couple of weeks till Salmon season starts for me. I tell you, I am chomping at the bit to get out and wet a line. Hope to get a few kings, more silvers and pinks this year. This could be the last time heding out for Salmon in a long while.

If you are heading out for Salmon. Where do you fish and what is you bait/technique of choice?

Mine, I fish 8-1, 8-2 and 9. Mainly stick with the buzz bomb on the ocean. River it is eggs, eggs and more eggs

  Herring and a flasher. I tried Buzz-Bombs last year but didn't have any luck. That doesn't mean I won't try them again though. I'm looking forward to the season too. I've fished 10, 11 and 12 so far. I think I'd like to try 4&5 sometime this year though. I'll be out as soon and as much as I can! Hopefully you can show me how you use those eggs too!

Man oh man.... Only a couple more days and then season opens up... I have been stairing at my gear, changing line, cleaning/lubing up the reels... I SO CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!

Went outyesterday with my best friend. Fished area 9 for salmon. I caught about 5 Lings and no salmon, my friend did come up with a nice 3lbs Coho. Still seems early for them, they were out there rolling and getting slammed by the darn seals... Wish it was possible to hunt and shoot them.

Absolutely! The only thing that could have made it better would have been CATCHING instead of just FISHING! Well, that and if the show on the beach had gone on longer ! We'll just keep that one to ourselves...
I'll let you know if I learn any effective techniques and we can try them next time.

Well, we were to head out to Camino Island to go crabbing. I wound up sherring either the dog gear or forward gear. I have been calling around all day to price repairs/replacement... All I have to say is WOW!!! I did find one in Kanas that is some what reasonable.
