That stretch of river has had some good fishing from time to time. Cold water periods seem to be the best time to fish that area. Try Rapalas or big spinners like a Mepps or Blue Fox. Crawdad crank baits will work as well.

I live about 1/2 a mile away from suncrest park, i go there every weekend and barely catch nothing. i fish off the docks cause i cant afford a boat but i make due. some days the fish go crazy for anything, other days fish wont bite a night crawler that has sat in there face for 1/2 an hour.this last weekend i was tired of throwing my chiggercraw jig out and layed down. i fell asleep for 5 min and i was with my friend ryan. he yelled i sat up and all 5 rods had fish on. all lake trout. landed them , all keepers. what im saying is you might not be able to catch them on artificial lures.
    GONE FISHING
