Plan to do it this week. After last year we have a lot of fishing to catch up on.

We have had a very mild winter this year, never did get any ice to speek of.

Rained last night but warm today Ten day forcast shows some fifties in our near future. Walleye will be the target but we will be happy with anything.

Well Turnip,
I didn't see this post until tonight but I'll pretend it's still fresh! I was going to go out on a local lake early and try for some trout but the weather didn't look too promising. Ended up getting out about 8:30. Caught two trolling a wedding ring, released both as they were kind of small. Then I was fishing on the bottom using a treble and PowerBait when I got another one. When I got him to the boat and netted, I saw that somehow I'd managed to snag him in the side! With a treble!?! Let him go too, he didn't seem too badly wounded. Then while trolling with a Luhr Jensen Willow Blade, I finally got one worth keeping. 1# 10 oz. and 16". He's resting comfortably in my freezer now.:-)
All in all a pretty good day, even got off the lake before the rains came!
