I would like to say Hello to all members in the great state of Washington, and all other members of NAFC, wherever you may be!  I have been a member in NAFC for ~6 months, and I've been cruising the forums for around that amount of time.  Most often I see alot of negative posts, and most often it brings me down.  So here is to being positive, enjoying life, and having a place to discuss what all of us love so dearly.

    Welcome to the NAFC.
If I may ask, what lakes do you fish?
I am in the central basin and fish most of eastern Wa.
Smallmouth and Walleye are my main targets but I am happy to catch what ever bites.
If you have any questions just ask and I am more than sure you will find a answer on this web site.

Thanks YellowBear! I typically fish the Columbia River in Tri-Cities area from Shore, no boat (yet!). I just moved back to WA from NM this summer, so next spring I am planning on getting to some of the lakes in Spokane area and Potholes and Scooteney. I grew up fishing Tucannon lakes, so I am looking forward to taking my nephew there in the spring for some trout fishing. My targets are the same as yours, although walleye arent the easiest species to catch from shore, I did catch one on a trip to Scoot in August.

    Good morning Thomas.
I don't fish Scootney but I can help you out on the Spokane area as well as Potholes.
If I can be of any help to you just holler.

Morning Brad, you ever fish Windmill lake? It's part of the Potholes seep lakes, I guess thats what they are called. 8 years ago, or so, a freind of mine and I used to catch alot of trout out of there during the winter, and big ones up to about 24 inches. We were mostly trolling Flat Fish and Panther Martins, but we did well from shore with powerbait and spinners too. I'm looking for somewhere to wet a line Wednesday, not really expecting to catch much, but I'm off, so I figured what the hey, might as well go freeze for a few hours!

    Good morning Thomas,
Several of the seep lakes including Windmill were killed off in Oct.
We had been fishing it for winter Trout the last couple of years but the WDFW decided it needed to be rehabed.
You may want to try Soda or long.

    Brad.

Too bad about them killing it off, I remember some big trout in there. Hopefully they can return it to the way it was.

I took a look at Soda and Long, looks like there are Walleye and Perch in there as well? I might give one of those a shot as long as it doesnt snow much more. I'll give a report should I make it out. Thanks for your help Brad!
