I've been using my extra time this year trying to teach my self to fish, so far I've caught a couple bass and maybe a crappie or two, but I still have a lot of learning to do.  If anyone is going fishing in north central WV and wants a tag-a-long that is eager to learn send me a message or start a new topic.  I have every fri, sat, and sunday off and I'm an early riser.

Welcome, by north central do you mean the panhandle? What types of water have you been fishing, lakes, ponds or river? Do you have any preference as to what species you are after?

I live in harrision county, so I would like to fish in any of the surrounding counties, but I'm willing to do some driving if I have to.  So far this summer I have fished burnsville dam, sutton lake, and dog run lake (salem, WV).  I'm not gunning for any specific fish, I am just wanting to learn some basics that I can build on.

I live in charleston and i fish very often, i recommend stonewall jackson lake because it has a wide variety of fish and you can rent a boat, and you can stay the night all the necessities for a perfect fishing weekend. Always use live bait.
