Well, the yearly tradition of fishing the "Honey Hole" with my buddy Bob started with a trip to the lake - finding the launch completely empty unlike last week. Man, fishing the "honey hole" has really changed. Last year this lake had flooded to a point that there was a "no wake" posted on this lake for the whole year. Fishing had also dropped off compared that how we did the year before. This year, the water level was ALOT higher then last year and again the "no wake" was posted. As we motor out to the other end to start dock skipping, we could see that the lake was not in good shape. The fishing was rough was well with only one small bass making into the boat as well as some really thin, small, sickly looking northerns. I couldn't even get the gills to bite.
