Welcome to the bb fishing mama, and to the world of fishing. It's a great sport that will give you many positive memories for years to come. A good way to learn about fishing is magazines, fishing shows, and forums such as this. Once you've gotten your feet wet a little you'll kind of decide what type of fisherwoman you are. Do you like to fish for all species, or is there a favorite of yours that you like to target every time out? Do you like to fish with live or artificial bait? Do you like to river fish, or is it mostly lakes. Once you've determined what type of fisherman you want to be, you can seek out specific information regarding that species of fish, or that style of fishing. To just ask for tips in general is pretty tough. There are lots of different fish out there and lots of different techniques to catch them. I haven't fished your area yet, but I know there is great fishing for walleye, smallmouth, and musky on the big pond there, as well as other great lakes near by. Where do you normally fish, and what do you usually fish for? I see the pike in your avitar, what's the story behind that one?

Welcome to both the world of fishing and the Club

I'll recommend a couple of things for you....the 1st is a map of Green Bay by Fishing Hot Spots, that shows depth, marked spots and gives you a few techniques to try too...

    http://www.fishinghotspots.com/e1/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=0&idproduct=301

And this is a book of lake maps by Sportsmans Connection...and has several small lakes in your area included in it...plus info about Green Bay.

    http://www.sportsmansconnection.com/wisconsin/fishingbooks/centralne/

And this is an "outdoor atlas" for the area. I have one for southern Wisc...and will get this one later this year.

Green Bay is a truly diverse fishery as Bob said...and that is the main reason I'm mentioning these items to you. I own products by both companies...and they have been very useful over the years.
