This year has been by-far my most productive winter for perch and bluegills. The crappies have eluded my jig for the most-part, but a few came up the hole. Tip-ups were a big dud the whole winter, except for this past weekend, but now the game fish season has closed on the lakes I fish. That's all right, though, because it looks like most of the shorelines are almost gone and I don't feel like getting wet boots trying to get out onto the hard h2o. Good luck to all for the soft water season!!
