Just came back from a week-long stint at White Lake, Ontario, just outside of Arnprior.  Fishing was pretty difficult this time around (I've been up to the lake about 25 times).  But the trip from southern Pennsylvania was worth it.  I was surprised though at the lack of northern pike this year; the water temperature was just right for them and with the overcast skies most of the week I thought we were going to have more than we did catch.  We mainly fish for bass and they seemed active but not like recent years.

Have you concidered a new lake. Lake Calabogie and Centenial Lake is right up the highway from you spot and I've been going there for decades. It's a great area to fish as well as hunt. Just a stones throw away to the east is ols the Upper Ottawa River with some of the best fishing in all of Canada. Expand your horizons and have a great tim doing it!
