'You're going to need a bigger grandmother.'A British woman landed a 45kg (100lb) shark on holiday – straining her neck and shoulder muscles in the process.

Mary Cook fought for more than half an hour to land the 3m (9ft) lemon shark.

The 61-year-old great-grandmother from Cardiff needed physiotherapy after the titanic battle in Florida – which was watched by her husband Colin, 59, and friend Garry Evans.

She said: 'It was my first time out on the boat with the boys. They're both experienced fishermen so I beat them at their own game.'
