I want to pose to you all a hypothetical situation: Imagine you are minding your own business when suddenly an anonymous stranger approaches you and offers you $50,000.00 but with one caveat: you must forsake and abandon your love of fishing for the rest of your life and forfeit ALL of your fishing gear forever. Which option would YOU choose? |

I can be bought, but to stop fishing, swimming, &/or running, all of which I love, $50,000 isn't remotely near the ballpark. Fish on! |

If you figure in my boats, truck and other gear $ 50000.00 wouldn't replace what I have. Just remember its not about money. You can't buy memories and money isn't everything. |

Very true and good point! With all that money I could buy a bass boat but never be able to use it!... |

To me, 50 grand is a lot. But it will come and go. I am young and I still have a good 40 to 50 years (God willing) of fishing left in me! That is worth more than money. |

I think if work, time, weather and the girlfriend can’t stop me a little money won’t either. There is a lot more to life than money. The day and age that we are in a lot of people really don’t see that. All that matters to people is money. As long as I am here I’ll be fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. No amount of money will EVER tempt me to give up my fishing gear. I dont even know what I would do with that money if I couldn't buy more fishing stuff Keep fishin' |
