Members at our first Texas meet agreed that the magazine doesn't have enough articles on southern waters. It appears that the editors concentrate on lakes in the northern part of the U.S., but overlook the fact that the fishing in our lakes is, in some cases, superior to northern lakes.
Some of the record fish producing lakes are located in the south, but receive little recognition. And the fact that our lakes are ice free during the winter months makes for great year round fishing.
Nonetheless, northern waters are great fish grounds and deserve to be recognized. But isn't it time to broaden the horizon just a bit and give the south the same amount of space in the magazine as all the others?
