When NAF arrives the first thing I look at is Member Photos. I have noticed that there are a lot of photos of saltwater fish but verylittle print about saltwater fishing. Can we get a regular saltwater Department or Feature added to every issue? Or maybe a Eastcoast, Westcoast & Gulfcoast Department or Feature in every issue? |

good point. even some of us non saltwater guys would enjoy an article or tow or a regular column in the mag. I understand that walley, bass and crappie or probably the most fished for species in the country but there is alot more to our sport. Brian Fishing! enough said. |

You're correct, bdp, that bass, catfish and crappies are tops among Club members. |

How about more pier and bank fishing. I know the money is in boats but alot of us don't have the money.

I have to agree. I spend as much time fishing from the surf and jetties for bluefish and stripers as I do wading the streams for trout, catfish and smallmouth. Some of the best locatiions are only accessible by wading or small rowboats or canoes.

I agree, we need to add more on Saltwater Fishing. Whether its divided by region or state some type of report would be good exposure for the members who are interested in this type of fishing. |

I'd like to see more saltwater fishing, even though I don't really have access to it, but moreso I'd like to see more on shore/pier fishing, and Trout fishing, but not in enormous streams in Alaska and out west, how bout some small stream stuff in the midwest and east. |

Sunday, after church, I took my niece and her two kids ( boy 6, girl 3) up to Sam Rayburn Resivor for a pick-nick and some fishing from the bank. We caught 21 sunfish and had a great time. Monday, the 6 yearold and I drove down to Sabine Pass, TX for some saltwater fishing off of a small beach on the bank of the Sabine-Neches Ship Channel. We caught 12 croackers, 6 whitting and two flounder. We lost a very large fish that we think was a big redfish. How is that for fishing, two days fishing both freshwater and saltwater using the same rods and reels and to a large extent the same bait. For the saltwater we just used bigger hooks and sinkers. |
