My father retired this year, and to celebrate, we are dedicating the month of April to a fishing trip. We live in Chicago and plan on beginning our trip in Texas's Sam Rayburn. I know I want to hit Lake Fork as well, but after that, I'm out of ideas. Are there any lakes that you would suggest are "must fish" lakes on our drive back north throughout the month on April?

reelfoot lake, tiptonville, tennessee. april might be a little late in the day for the awesom fishing but it is an absolutely beautiful place. if you got your own boat be careful there's a billion stumps in the lake.
