Hey, Nuk.  Spoonplugs are trolled... mostly for largemouth bass, but I imagine they'd work for other species as well.  They were invented by the late Buck Perry, who just about invented structure fishing.  The different sizes run at different depths, the smaller ones running shallower, the bigger ones deeper.  I'm not sure of the exact depths each size runs at, but fellow N A F C member AZAllen has seen Buck's book, Spoonplugging for Bass, advertised in Fishing Facts magazine.  And Fishing Facts magazine was where I learned about Spoonplugging back in the early 1980s.  Hope I helped you.  Keep the line fresh & the hooks sharp... & let us know if you do any goodwith those things.  God bless you.  -Sonny
