My daughter came back from the cottage wit hsome smallmouth, and when they filleted the fish, every one had black dots or parasites in them. This is very unusual so early in the summer, normally in late July -August with very hot temps. Our lake is spring-fed and cool. Any thoughts as to why these fish were affected?
