    here is my fish story,

When I was 12 years old, I lived in a little town called Pineville, LA.. My dad would take us kids fishing on the Red River, it was about a mile from where we lived. One day very early we went out on the river and fished awhile until the waters got to rough. We began to fish on shore for awhile. I had my line snagged several times on debris, there was usually trees or garbage of some sorts in the river. Sure enough I got snagged again and this time, broke it all off. I thought it would be fun to see how far I could cast out so I rigged the heaviest weight and began playing around.Well once again I thought there was something caught on my line again, so I begin to slowly reel it in. Boy did I get a surprise, right there twisted up on my line was the biggest fish I had ever seen or caught for that matter. It was a huge gar fish with a ten inch set of the sharpest teeth you've ever run into. That sucker came right our of the water splashing and kicking around madder than hell. That scared the daylights outta me. That fish must have been five feet long. It was bigger than me and I was a skinny 80 pounds, soaking wet. Well believe it or not, it really happened to me.
