Since opening day of 2009, I have been fishing the Pewaukee River in Pewaukee, WI.  Within the first two weeks since opening day , YES  I have seen  12 ( Count them) musky.  There was one Sunday I stopped at the river to fish and a man fishing for blue gill had his blue gill on line swallowed by a 45" musky taking the bobber with it.  I loaned him my waders and net yet when he got about 4 feet from the fish, the fish didn't want any part of the action.

This past weekend I was fishing on the river when a man stopped and asked if I wanted any worms and/or minnows. He is allergic to misquito bite and they were surely out in force since repellant needed to be reapplied every 3 hours. I quickly had to switch poles so that I could use the reliable slip bobber technique that rarely fails.  Sure enough after running out of minnows, I had 19  (six under limit) of  panfish in my creel and a LOT of misquito bites.

I will try to avoid fishing busy lake times since it means that the water is disturbed and the fish have evacuated the area.

The last thing the readers must remember is that I started this fishing season with a negative and angry attitude. It was only when the kids on the river changed my attitude that I was able to be successful. Put some pleasant time experimenting with one lure so that you are able to see it perform then you will surely appreciate the wonderful world of fishing.
