I was fishing the Muskegon river on a hot summer day for trout catching a bunch of nice size rainbows on Berkeley gulp minnows...but of course the tubers started coming down the the river well that slowed fishing down a lot well it got to be around 6:30pm..I was going to pack every thing up and call it a day but you no how that goes i need one more cast before i go kind of deals..So i moved out to the middle of the river to let my bait drift into the hole i was fishing in..When i hooked into something big and i mean big because I'm using my 11 foot steel-head pole and had it bent way over i couldn't barely budge it off the bottom i had finely got it to move i thought that it was a big sucker at first then i pulled it up and to my surprise it was a fly reel for big trout....so i took it home and cleaned the zebra muscles off from it then tore it all part soaked it in a cleaning solvent for 24 hours then scrub it in till i got a name off from it..Well the name i got was orvis so i got online to check found the same reel and a price of 189.00 dollar reel well lets say some angler isn't very happy..but with a little tender loving care i fixed it back to new and gave it a new paint job... then got it a new fly rod.... then i took it out for a test run works like a champ.....god bless and fish on
