Well, I was just on Hans Weilenmann's Fly Tyers page and several of his tyers suggested various new tying materials and "Googling" them they all triangulated at that wonderful Oasis of "crafty Ftuff" - JoAnn Fabrics!!

Here I found Stretch Magic for great "Tabou Caddis Emergers" and ant bodies, Foamies sheet in 2mm and 4mm for great cress bug bodies and other over body material (2mm thick) and various 26 and 24 guage wire for wet flies in several fabulous colors.

Hint - if you're a Ham Radio Afficianado this wire is epoxy coated and of the very best insulating quality for winding toroids and other "coily things".

So all in all JoAnn Fabrics is not just a fabric/craft store but a fly fisherman's (and fly tyer's) treasure trove full of wonderful foamy, stretchy, fuzzy, colorful materials all to had for (get this ) 40% off the day I was there. They even were open to me teaching my class "Guy Stuff For Girls". Who knows what will unfold form this??

Be well - tight lines and 73's

    Rob Thomas
